I read the instructions carefully before applying, and I still looked like a geishaI couldn't get the white to blend in. Not to mention they charge $7 + $5 shipping and handling for a product that is the size of two thimbles.

This product is really good, the powder is fine and the color will cover really well. Most liquid sunscreens will aggravate my acne rosacea and turn my skin red. This product does not aggravate my rosacea at all. The protection is really good, just remember that if you sweat or go into the water, you need to reapply it. It is only SPF 30, or if you are in the sun for a long period of time (more than 30 minutes), you will need to reapply.

It matches my skin tone, and I have a medium skin tone. This particular item will last you for about a week and is meant as a sample to see which color matches your skin. I bought all three shades to try it out and for me, it is this color that works for my skin tone. All Clear is meant for light skin tones, Perfectly Clear is meant for medium skin tones, while Almost Clear is meant for darker skin tones.

I would recommend that people considering using powdered sunscreen obtain samples of it to make sure the tone is not too light or dark for you and to make sure there isn't an adverse reaction to it. Once one decides if it is for them, then purchase a larger size.

Overall, it is a great product and a viable alternative to liquid sunscreen. I would recommend it to anyone considering the product and encourage them to try it out.

I bought the trial sized not certain if a powder sunscreen would really work. I used it over SPF-free moisturizer. I followed the instructions perfectly and was pleasantly surprised with the results. My skin didn't feel weighed down like conventional sunscreen tends to do, nor did it leave my T-zone oiler than it needs to be. It also stayed on a really long time (I could see it on the cotton ball when I cleaned my face at night with toner). The only complaint I have is that it's a little difficult to apply. Maybe it's because this was a shaker, but I had a hard time (at first) making sure my face was evenly covered but not white. It took a few trial-and-errors to really get the hang of it. I would buy this again but in a different form (like the brush or orb), which may make it a little less tedious to apply.

Moisturizing Liquid Foundation Pale Ivory

I started my quest a few years ago for a foundation that did not add to my skin problems of breaking out.My skin seemed to sensative to anything and everything that I turned to more natural lines for the answer.After a few trial and error attempts, I tried Gabriel Cosmetics and I love it!!

This foundation is nice, light weight, and does not clog my pores at all.I do not break out using this foundation either, which is a huge selling point.Even though it is more expensive than drug store brands, it lasts forever b/c a small amount goes a long way.It is not too thick and not too watery and the product seems odorless.

I really love this line of cosmetics and have begun to explore more of their product line.I would reccomend this product to people w/sensative skin, who need to avoid alcohol on their skin, and who are prone to breakouts.

This foundation is excellent! It blends beautifully with my skin tone and gives just enough about of coverage, not too little and not too much. However, the only thing I noticed was I needed to use a sponge to apply it evenly, it's really hard to apply just using your bare hands. Other than that, it's great! I would highly recommend it.

Cons: Rather thick and very difficult to spread. Has a cakey look if not blended really well.

I think this product is ok, but for the price (I paid $29 at Wholefoods) it should be much better.

This is the perfect foundation for my freckled skin. It applies velvety smooth & creamy with my fingers. Blends easily, is light-weight and does not clog my pores. It covers so beautifully that for the first time since I was a teenager I do not have to wear concealer. I've always needed concealer for hereditary under eye circles until this product. It stays on all day and looks natural. I don't even feel it's on. I follow up with a dusting of Dr Hauschka Translucent Face Powder which is also light weight & lovely.

I can get tan on other areas of my body but my chest area always burns unless I put on some heavy-duty lotion. Shiseido's, unlike other highly protective sunscreens, does go on smoothly and absorbs with no heaviness. It's a pleasure to use. And it protects from UVA and UVB rays. It's the first pleasant lotion I've used where I didn't burn a bit. And it's water resistant and sweat-proof too.

I have fair skin and always use sunscreen. I bought this because I like the Shiseido makeup. I also bought the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liguid 55 at the same time. The Shiseido is a little greasy. It doesn't absorb as fast as I'd like it too. I like the Neutrogena better is absorbs quickly and doesn't feel sticky. This sunscreen does the job, definately keeps your skin safe from the sun but it is a little greasy.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't order this product again. I thought it would be pure Zinc Oxide, but it wasn't as advertised. It had other ingredients, some of which are controversial to take and which my husband are allergic to. The ingredients are: Octislate, Octocrylene, & Octinoxate. I recommend others to research these ingredients on the web and their reactions.

When we had our first child, we researched what type of sunblock was safe to use for our baby.We found that products with titanium dioxide or zinc oxide were the safest.Both of these ingredients rest on top of the skin, rather than getting absorbed into the skin.We also read that any SPF rating above 30 is unnecessary as they aren't actually more effective but contained more chemicals that could actually be harmful.Finding products that met those conditions were much harder to find than I expected.

The California Baby brand was about the only one we could find initially that used titanium dioxide or zinc oxide.We started out with the lotion first and it was good at blocking out the sun, but did not completely prevent a tan.It also required a bit more time to apply and was somewhat difficult to apply on the face as it is a bit runny.I bought the stick version to address those issues.

It is much quicker to apply the stick sunblock on my children and their faces.There are some drawbacks however.The stick is much more difficult to spread so getting even coverage can be difficult.Because it doesn't spread easily, you have to apply a lot of it.Due to the premium cost of the stick, I wince every time I use it.Also, as other reviewers have noted, unless you rub the sunblock in very well, your kids will look like ghosts, teehee.

We like how safe and effective the California Baby sunblock stick and lotion are for our children.We tend to use the lotion most of the time and use the stick only for their faces and for when we are short on time (which seems like all the time).The pack of 2 that Amazon sells this for is a bargain compared to what we have paid in brick and mortar stores.We will likely buy these again from Amazon next summer, when our current stick is likely to run out.

The stick is very convenient b/c I've found it's really the only way of getting sunblock on toddler's faces.And it certainly does the job but it looks like my girls have a mask on when I put it on them.I guess all the zinc oxide based ones are like that.

I loved it! I got a great tan out of it and the product lasted a long time.
