Avène Sunscreen Lotion Spf 50+ 100ml (High Protection)

Avene Lotion 50+ has both Tinosorb M and S (good!) but the blurb on the website doesn't mention it has fragrance (bad for some of us). Works well for me to prevent tanning, freckles and other pigment spots, but I'm not swimming or playing sports. Be aware that the lotion is thin enough to drip. Also, the Titanium Dioxide leaves a slight white film unless rubbed in.

I am very fair and this sunblock gets the job done! Just beware that if you are using it daily, this size tube will not last long

I am a super fair (read: pasty) girl with very acne prone, combination skin.I have had problems my entire life finding a sunscreen to use on the face and neck that had enough protection, does not break me out and does not turn into an oil slick.This sunscreen has a matte finish, does not dry me out or make me greasy, makes a wonderful primer under makeup and does not have any unstable ingredients like many US sunscreens.When taken off at night with an oil based cleanser (cold cream will do), my face never breaks out from this.The high PPD is the biggest thing to me I get no freckles or dark spots when using this, even in the deep south.LOVE THIS.Thanks to Amazon for helping me get hold of my skincare and makeup from overseas.

For the price, I would buy the spray, but if you don't like spray-able sunblock, this is the next best thing. They work equally as well, but this formulation is a bit thicker still easily spreadable, like any other sunblock. Don't get it in your eyes it's NOT tear free!

This is the best sunscreen I've ever used, and I'm certified as a professional scuba divemaster so I've tried a lot of it.Great, great stuff.You don't even notice you have it on, it's so light, and honestly I have not ever burned while wearing it.Disclosure:My uses of it have involved going to all-day rock concerts outside, going hiking, etc., so I suspect the problems with it may involve water if you sweat a lot or are going to the beach, you're really better off buying a sunblock that's certified as waterproof.Banana Boat products, also sold here at Amazon, are what I'd reach for under those circumstances.

As it is I'm here to buy five or six tubes of Bullfrog, since I can't find it locally and I'm afraid they're going to stop making it.

The original bullfrog was good. This stuff must actually wear off on its own. 3 hours in the sun in Maui, all covered in this stuff got burnt. If you have this stuffbe paranoid and apply often, even if your not doing anything.

Wont buy it again.

Zinc based sunscreen on children with no tan didnt burn. We tanned alot, and used this Bullfrog SunBlock and got burnt.

I play tennis 4-5 times a week and live in sunny humid South Florida. I have tried many sunscreens and this is the best. It gives me good sun protection without my looking like a ghost and does not run or get sticky. I have this on auto ship as I use it every day.

I like this sunscreen because it goes on silky smooth, not greasy. It is perfect for everyday use as you don't walk around feeling like you have a layer of shortening all over you and it doesn't smell like sunscreen. There are two negatives. One, it isn't waterproof so if you are going to be swimming or sweating a lot you will need to reapply. Two, it is hard to find in local stores so you will need to stock up from Amazon. That's fine except when you suddenly run out or are not at home with you stash of extra tubes.

I'm a 30 year old guy who spent his entire teenage years using acne medicines. From looking at the store shelves, guys using moisturizer with some SPF in it is becoming far more typical than it used to be.

Proaciv is a highly effective acne treatment brand but, here's the catch you have to keep at it. Firstly, it takes a few weeks before you see significant results. This is the case for any acne treatment product really you just HAVE to be consistent and give it time. So, folks looking for a quick solution to their problem (i.e. clearing up your skin in time for prom or a wedding, for example) will be disappointed.

Secondly, it is not a magic potion capable of "curing" acne. Once you stop using the product, your acne will return unless you take active steps to maintain the health of your skin. It is often believed that merely using a product can be the only change made to help your skin. Clear skin is about more than just using the right brands.... having clear skin is about understanding skin.

Overall, I'd say use this product if you can afford to consistently buy it. If you can't, understand the ways to help keep your skin healthy since, if you don't take those steps, it is HIGHLY likely be disappointed once you stop using Proactiv.

Side note: Do use all three components of the set if you can. Since it was formulated to work as a set, it is better to use it that way in the end.

Illuminare All Day Eye Color Kit SPF 15 5 piece

If you like Illuminare cosmetics and you use their eye colors, this is the best, dollar for dollar, bargain that exists. The kits come in different colors and that makes it easier to find a combination that works for you. If you use their stuff, you're probably already familiar with their products.

If you don't and you're curious, the Illuminare website offers sample sizes in pretty much everything. I highly recommend it. Once you fall in love with their makeup, you'll appreciate a bargain like this where you get three colors for the cost of about two.

I use these for eye shadow, brow color, and liner. The products are easy to work with and long-lasting. I seldom have to re-apply throughout the day unless I'm touching up for a night out after work. And they're so concentrated, you only need to use the tiniest dot of each! In fact, it's hard to squeeze out a small enough amount so that you don't have to wipe some away. I've beeing using Illuminare for several years and I can say that it's much more frequent that the product goes beyond a reasonable shelf date (or I keep it so far beyond a reasonable date that it gets a bit dry) than that I use it up too quickly. That's why I don't mind paying more for it (and this applies to their foundation and cheek colors as well).

If you aren't familiar with this brand and you're looking for a mineral makeup that's easier to work with than all the powders, I highly recommend giving them a try.

Avene Eau Thermale High Protection Mineral Cream SPF 50 Facial Treatment Products

I was looking for a 45+ SPF protection tinted sunscreen for my face. I found this one which seemed like a good option. Two things I don't like: It's a little too light for my skin (I'm latina) andit tends to make my face oilier.

After trying it for a week, I found the best way to use it. I decided to avoid using my pressed powder on top, otherwise I'd look like Casper!. Now I only use the cream, wait 2 minutes until it gets absorbed and then put my make up on and seems to work well.Also, found that if I just put enough to cover all the areas of my face/neck, then it blends better with my skin tone. This also helps to minimize the oily feel, specially at the end of the day.

I really like Avene products because they seem well-researched, contain effective ingredients, and aren't expensive. This cream has pretty high zinc and titanium oxide levels so I feel confident when I put it on that I'm getting good coverage. It does take some time to work it into my skin until my normal color shows, even with the tint, but it doesn't clog my skin. There is residual chalkiness but that just tells me there's mineral protection. The seller I patronized sent the package quickly and I was happy to see the expiration date is a year away, meaning it's not old stock.

It's a combination of physical and chemical sunscreen, hence providing a broader protection than most sunscreen products. It's light and even in a liquid-like condition, and you have to shake it every time before use. It's the only product, using with proper re-application, that will prevent my skin being tanned in summer time. Sparkles is very subtle and totally okay for daytime; if you wear this under makeup it helps (just a little) to make your skin look better. For the water/sweat-proof aspect, this one is not as effective as the golden one of the same brand, but this one is apparently easier to remove (while the golden bottle needs specific make-up remover). I've been using this for several years and it's a nice choice for summer time.

Australian Gold Beyond Famous Tanning Lotion

I own a tanning salon so I tried many lotions and this is one of my all time favorites. I does not smell the best afterwards, but most don't. There are only a few lotions that smell good even after the tanning session (mainly by Designer Skin). I'm rating this lotion on performance. It works!
