Emerald Bay Choco-Latta-Love 9 Oz

I didn't buy this product from amazon, but my grandma owns a tanning salon so she gave me this for free. There are pros and cons so let's go through them:

PROS:

1) great smell. It smells a lot like cocoa butter and milk. Very warm, soothing smell. I get a lot of compliments.

2) it does have a bronzer, but it tends to wash out with a shower. However, it will make you a little darker.

3) VERY cheap. It's great for developing a base tan, and at $8 a bottle, you can't beat it.

CONS:

1) Like I said, the bronzer tends to wash off with a shower.

2) If you don't apply it evenly, it will streak you. I always forget to wash my hands, so I'm left with orange in between my fingers from applying the lotion. But like I said, it washes off in the shower. But if you're going somewhere right after tanning, beware.

All in all, I would recommend this to someone who is just starting off tanning and wants to develop a nice base tans. I would also give advice to use it just on your legs, since with a base tan, the legs tend to get left behind as the rest of your body gets dark. But definitely switch to a more expensive and better tanning lotion when your body gets that uniformed base tan.

I would have rated this a 5 based on performance, but I am not thrilled with the fact that it contains parabens.I have been advised by the company that it's considerably less than most products that contain parabens, like 1/50,0000th of the usual amount.It is literally THE only skin cream in my 37 years of life that does not cause acne for me.I have tried everything.My skin is smooth and tight after application, the perfect foundation for my mineral make-up.I don't have any cancerous spots on my face, so I can't attest to it's ability to treat skin cancer.There is skin cancer in the family though and I hope this helps with prevention while it's making my skin so soft, would be an added bonus!

I've been using Raspex products for the past couple of years now and no other product out there can compete with the laundry list of benefits. I bought this product from a Mary Kay rep, but then I saw that Amazon also sells it. I don't think that it does very much. I have dark acne scars and I was expecting to at least fade the spots a bit that didn't happen. I used it in the morning and night before bed and not much happened. It may have helped with my skin tone a bit, but then I didn't really have bad skin texture. I was really disappointed with it because for the price it should have done some good. I wouldn't recommend buying this again it's time to try something else.

If you're looking for a deep colour instantly, this probably isn't for you.

This did take at least two applications to even show up (specifically in areas that aren't already tanned--if you do have a little bit of color, those areas will darken quite noticeably after one application) and will still require the maintenance of any gradual tanner (i.e. reapplying it every second day or so). It's actually recommended that once you've finished this bottle (which only lasted me the three applications, and I applied it to my whole body--and I'm of average height and thin, by the way) to keep up your color with the original natural glow.

It does work a little faster than the original formula, and offers you the same complete control over your tan. It's pretty fool-proof when it comes to streaking. As long as you exfoliate first, use very little on your knees, elbows, ankles and knuckles, and rub it in well, the result will be a very even and natural looking tan. A little bit did rub off on my clothes (and I waited hours before dressing), but it completely came out in the wash. This also has that sunless tanner "biscuit smell" that kind of lingers.

Overall, I think it's a great product, just don't expect to be bronze after only one application, and don't expect to be extremely dark even after three. It's noticeable, but you won't look ultra tanned. If you're fair-medium toned, this is the one to get. You will lookunnatural (orange) if you use the one for medium-tan skin tones.

I tried Jergens Natural Glow Express, and it does exactly what it claims. Within three days, I developed an even, natural looking tan. It is the most effective self tanner I've tried, and I'm very pleased with the product.

I have been tanning a long time and since I have been using this, I only spend half the amount of time tanning, and as dark as I would have been by late August. When you smell it in the bottle it isn't great, kind of coconut mixed with something. But once it is on your body it smells NASTY. I kept thinking I smelled puke, and it was me!! Not sure about how it works as an accelerator because I can't get past the smell. The one time I used it, it wasn't noticeable and definitely not worth the price you pay by stinking. I purchased this due to the need for a better sunscreen for my kids.On my younger ones with fair skin, it works wonderful.They never tanned or burned at all this summer and it worked great.Very pleased.They still looked fair by the end of the summer.

However, sunblock becomes less effective as it gets old.And it is the first line defense against skin cancer.

When the Bull Frog bottles arrived, the expiration date had been removed from the product label.You could see where someone had taken a knife to the label and that portion of the product label had been covered over with a second bar code label -a coincidence???

I recommend you find a seller that can ship product with an intact expiration date so you know what you are getting and will know when to throw it out.Melanoma is nothing to fool with.

As with all Bullfrog products, this one is great.

The spray comes out in a nice mist and dries quickly and non greasy.I can't speak to burning in the eyes since I use other stuff on my face, but it's very resistant to water, so it probably wouldn't run even with sweat.The bottle does spray upside down, making it easier to get the back if you don't have a sidekick.

I deducted a star because it contains alcohol;not liking alcohol in a sunblock is just a personal preference though.

How it feels: If I apply this moisturizer in the morning, my face gets shiny toward the end of the day. But most other moisturizers I've tried make my face shine right away. This product feels lighter, less oily, and less shiny than the following 3 brands:

How well it does its job: it's effective on skin constantly made dry and sensitive by Benzoyl peroxide and Retin A products. If I overdo it, dry itchy skin usually gets back to normal after one application, and redness disappears after one-two hours. SPF 15 has worked well enough to protect against sun sensitivity caused by Retin A and the sun of South Bay Area, CA.

Adverse effects: None for me. I haven't noticed any more clogging than with other products. The smell doesn't bother me (it barely smells).

My skin type: I have sensitive combination skin, which easily gets irritated and can break out after a single face scratch.

I'v also tried Aveeno, L'Oreal, and other well-known brands. This moisturizer is still my choice.

I used this product for years before switching to the Neutrogena Healthy Skin formulation, which contains glycolic acid. I loved this moisturizer. I did not find it too oily or greasy one of the reasons that I switched to it was becuase I found it to be much lighter than the Clinique Daily Moisturizing Lotion that I had been using. I could even use this product during the summer, when it is very hot and humid where I live. Neutrogena makes great products. Highly recommended.

After a childhood of too many days in the sun, and now two rounds of surgery for skin cancer, I'm wearing sunscreen every day. Wish I had started years ago.

I really don't enjoy putting on sunscreen. It's greasy, feels unpleasant, sticks to my hair, eyebrows you get the idea.

This one is my favorite. It's so light, it's not unpleasant to apply. It doesn't feel greasy at all, I don't feel like it's clogging my pores, it's not perfumed, and it definitely works.

We all should be wearing sunscreen every day. This one is a winner.

I have been using this product for 15 plus years. I don't go a day without it. It gives just the right amount of moisture and its not too heavy. It also doesn't aggrevate sensitive skin. It has no harsh ingredients. Its perfect for combination skin. I can't recommend this enough. I started using this when I was a teenager and haven't stopped since. I've tried tons of other products but keep going back to this one. That says it all.

I been trying out a lot of face creams, I have went from Ponds to St. Eves to Olay to L'Oreal and while they all moisturized my face I hated the sticky almost sweaty appearance it left on my face. But this moisturizer is perfect! My face feels soft and hydrated without the stickiness. Definitely a keeper!

Platinum Diva left me with little to no color.I started with Step 1 for a couple weeks and got a nice base tan but then switched to this step 2.It left we with little to no results and my tan quickly faded.I recommend trying another product if a dark tan is what you were looking for.I also thought the smell was way too strong, I even had people comment on my "perfume".My boyfriend could smell it on my hours after I've showered!

This product is good for a good base tan if you already have a darker skin tone.I'm still looking for something that will give a much darker tan though.

I bought the Platinum Diva Matahari Step 2 lotion from my local tanning salon at the full price ($46.00).The fragrance alone is reason enough to by this product.Nearly every other tanning lotion out there and even though you may enjoy the fragrance, when you leave the tanning salon you still get that sort of stale burnt smell and know you need to head to the shower as soon as possible.

This tanning lotion is a step above other lotions in that it still smells the same after tanning as it did when you first put it on.I have had no problem going out right after tanning.I don't feel self-conscious that others can 'smell' that I just went tanning.This alone earns the 5 stars for me.

Other than that this lotion has promoted a more natural looking tan albeit a nice dark one! than when I have used other accelerators.I've tried many different brands and am happy to say I think I've ended my search with this one.

Then, there is the price!Why do tanning salons feel the need to gouge their customers? holy cow.We pay a premium price as it is just for the tanning time but to turn around and charge over $45 for 8 oz of lotion?I am glad I thought to look here on Amazon and found it for sale at a more reasonable price.

My kids really don't like sunscreen.They don't like the greasy feel or the noxious chemical scent however, they don't seem to mind Ocean Potion.It sprays on with a fine mist, and doesn't feel particularly greasy.Their favorite thing is that it doesn't stink like most sunscreens Ocean Potion smells like an Orange Creamsicle!I sprayed some on the kids before preschool, and by the time we reached the preschool (about a 10 minute drive away), the scent had mellowed out and was just barely noticeable to other parents.I used the sunscreen before a 4 hour workday outdoors, and came back without a burn...I really can't ask for more!Highly recommended!

Love this mist sunscreen. We use it on our toddler and ourselves. It sprays evenly without clogging, you get a very good covering easily, it doesn't leave your skin feeling 'tight' and it smells really nice! Have tried a lot of different spray sunscreens as live in Las Vegas and this one is the best we have found. Will buy time and time again.

Worked really well as a regular lotion.Smells good.I don't think it was worth the money.Didn't make a huge difference in my tan after 6 sessions.

I liked this tanning lotion. At the 3rd time tanning is when I saw a big difference I ended up getting a good base tan from this product. The only reason I rate it a 4 is because of the after tanning smell. It smells great as a lotion just not after tanning. I try to do allot of research and look up reviews to find the best tanning lotions before buying them. I just ordered "Conceited" by Designer Skin it just came out this year. Im hoping it is worth the buy. Ill make sure I make a review on the new lotion as soon as I test it out.

smells good, looks good, don't know that it actually works or not? it was hard to tell but it didn't exactly get me much tanner than i already was but the shipping was fast and it was worth the money i paid so props!

I tan often and I was not happy with this product at all. It did nothing for me. I usually buy Ionyx Step 2 (which has a lot of tingles) and it gets me dark quickly. I read this is a best seller for tanning lotions and I have no idea why. It did smell nice and go on smoothly like regular lotion just no addition to my color.
