While I'm a woodwind player and not brass, I did notice that the balm was light on my lips and didn't make my lips feel paralyzed, like EOS and Burt's Bees occasionally do. This is without question the best and most effective sunscreen I have ever used. I am on Retin-A-Micro, an acne medication that makes my sun very sensitive and susceptible to sun damage. I have used numerous sunscreens that don't work and on a whim, I decided to try this product during a ten hour day at an amusement park. I applied the sunscreen three times over a ten hour period, and for the first time, I didn't get a single spot of sunburn. This sunscreen smells pleasant, goes on smoothly, and didn't cause a breakout. I highly recommend this product, and I will be purchasing more bottles the next time I go to the drugstore.

I chose between this sunscreen and the regular version but went with this one because it had cuter packaging and I don't think there's a difference between the two.

This is one of the best sunscreens that I've ever used. I've used this when out swimming and walking in 100+ degree weather and didn't get burned at all, even without reapplication. It is very waterproof and doesn't get milky when wet.

It has a light citrus scent but it's not overbearing at all. It's easy to apply and doesn't stain clothing. It's also non-greasy and I use it all over my body and face. It doesn't cause breakouts and feels good on the skin.

The only bad side is that it is a bit expensive but I'm willing to pay the price for a great product.

Our kids our so fair skinned that we've had them checked for anemia, and I burn/freckle easily. We used this yesterday for an early afternoon pool party with the sun fully out. Supergoop Everyday UV Protection

This is one of the best daily moisturizers with SPF I have found. I love that it has no parabens, fragrance or other nasty chemicals. The sun protection is good and stays on well. It can feel a tad greasy in the beginning, but quickly soaks in, and I prefer to look "dewy" than dry and flaky anyway (and I need the extra hydration in the winter). But if you want a matte finish, this is not it. Another great one is Devita solar protective moisturizer, which is another great company that doesn't use bad chemicals. It's definitely much more matte, but I'm not sure it's quite as protective as the Supergoop (despite the 30 Spf rating). They both have a great safety and SPF rating on the "cosmetics database".

I try new Biore Japanese sunscreens every season, and this one is very good. I still prefer the Perfect Milk 50 for its strength (no tan, no burn in sub-tropical sun), but this Rich Waterly Essence is more moisturizing, and great for everyday use.

Seriously, I struggled for 20 years with American sunscreens that don't work, cause severe irritation (horrible stinging and burning when applied to the face!), and are generally a waste of money; I had basically given up on using sunscreen.

Shout out to reviewers at MUA and other sites for letting more of us know there is a MUCH better alternative--just wish the FDA would wise up.

I climb mountains, so my skin gets the maximum possible exposure to the sun (direct, high altitudes = less atmospheric protection, and reflection off the snow from below). I purchased this and three other highly rated sunscreens. The others are zinc or titanium oxide based. All do a fairly good job of protecting my skin.

The big difference, and why this one wins out over the others is the smoothness of application. The others are rather 'stiff', and require a fair bit of working in to get good coverage and no white spots. I always end up coming home with a spot or two that got missed (elbows, back of the arm, etc) and are bright pink. Not to mention the white stains on my shirts.With this sunscreen, it goes on smoothly, lasts the 3-5 hours between applications (may last longer, but I don't even try), and I don't have sensitive pink spots in out of the way places.

I got this product because it's one of the super safe sunscreens recommended by the environmental working group. It's great, but if you sweat a lot it does sting your eyes a little bit. I also got Badger sunscreen at the same time, and it was equally good but did not sting my eyes, so I recommend badger sunscreen over this one.

My baby was going to be under 6 months during the hot, sunny summer months.I bought this sunscreen for her and found that it was gentle and effective.I could reapply it as needed and she was fine.

It goes on pretty thick and white so you can really make sure you're spreading it everywhere you want to.However, I did find a little goes a long way or else it's too thick and you can't get it all rubbed in.

Even after a beach vacation, she didn't get a ray of sun.

It is extremely thick and difficult to rub in evenly on the skin. MD Moms Babysafe Sunscreen Towelettes Spf 30 (20 count)

We purchased this product due mostly to the good reviews on amazon so I feel obligated to write a different review as we didn't find that the product worked well.Everything about the promises on the package mirror my idea of a perfect sunscreen.It promised to be easy to apply (that is accurate.)It promised a broad spectrum spf of 30 and water resistant to 80 minutes, however, we did not find that promise to be true.

We used the product on my son for three days of his school and it seemed like it wasn't working well. We opened another package just in case the first one was old or something was wrong with it as the towelettes didn't seem to be that moist.We also started to increase the amount we applied and used several to many towels.Finally we had a day of swim team so we used 3 towelettes for his face and 3 for his arms.We used different sunscreen for his legs.I reapplied the sunscreen after the first and second hour of swimming, not 80 minutes as the package suggested.After 2 1/2 hours, my son's face and arms looked pink so I pulled him out of the water.My son wears a swim shirt for better spf coverage. After several hours out of the water, the pink turned into a bad sunburn.My son got the worse sunburn he has ever had from a 2 1/2 hour exposure to the sun. It was as if he had no sunscreen on at all.We purchased this originally because we were given a free sample at an event we attended. I thought it sounded like an incredible idea and would be easier than putting on the liquid sunscreen every day. The towels that we used didn't seem to be covered well with the product which is why I used multiple towels to apply the product.This may work for a small baby that will not allow you to put on any sunscreen but this isn't a product that can be used with active children as a substitute for a true sunscreen.Either we had faulty packages of sunscreen or this product doesn't work at all.Even if this product had worked, using 6 towelettes for just face and arms is cost prohibitive. We will return to our regular natural sunscreen that works well, although not as easy to put on.

Just received product. Says 15 towelettes, not 20.At $24 total, that's $1.60 per wipe. Yeesh. Just so you know.

I have tried spray on children's sunblock and other wipe on sunblock.The spray on stuff naturally landed and was rubbed in my child's eyes and he finally calmed down hours later.This is by far the best I have found.One wipe will cover your baby's legs, arms, and head.Also, this has a nice white sheen to it to help judge whether or not you were successful in putting it on your child, which was a limitation of other wipe on sunblocks.This sheen dries away, but it really helps to show where you applied the sunscreen.Yes, it gets on your hands when applying, but it is by far the most pleasant sunscreen I have had on my hands and is not sticky afterwards.I have had my child in and out of the sun for hours running with this and it protected him completely.I hate to spend the money, but after the mess the spray on left and the limitations of the competitors, I will.

This sunscreen is very useful.Ideal for daily use. I got oily skin on my T-shape area. This sunscreen will not make you feel more oily or uncomfortable. Very good product.

I bought this sunscreen so I could avoid slathering that cheap No-Ad stuff all over my face clogging my pores. This little bottle was very pricey, but for sweatproof lotion specifically designed for the face I had to give it a shot.

The fragrance isn't strong or annoying and it goes on nice and easy. The only problem is once you're out in the sun and you start to sweat you can feel the sunblock dripping away. I'd like to think that enough of it stayed in place to block the sun as stated, but I'm a little skeptical. If you're very active and put on sunblock before you run you might want to go with one of the "sport" models instead of this.

it blocks the sun very well for sure. but it is kind of oily and sometimes makes my skin uncomfortable after long-period use. luckily my skin is not that oily by itself so that's not bad. but i would suggest avoiding this product for people who have oily skins.

Sunscreen for Children SPF30+ Dr Robin 3.5 fl oz Lotion

I was so excited when I saw this product at our local apothecary, but was so disappointed. I love the ingredient list and that it's safe to use on my children's skin, but the stuff just creates a huge mess. I can deal with a white tint or something that takes a little more effort to rub in, but this is awful. It goes on very white, and as you rub it in, it balls up and creates a huge lint-like mess all over the place. I've tried using more or less, rubbing more or less, but each time the same result. So, your child ends up looking like a ghost with flaky skin, and if you try to rub it off, you get little balls of stuff all over your floor, all the while, your kid still looks ridiculous. I will still insist on a chemical free sun screen for my kids, but there has to be a product that is just as safe AND practical to use. This is definitely not the one.

Stay away from this one!

My neck is ON FIRE RED, so itchy, auch!! It happened twice in separate occasions, but the first one I was not 100% sure so I used it again... oh no! Terrible! I think it is the Benzoate which is a known allergenic. All I know is good thing I applied it on me before on my baby...

Back to the MUSTELA, best sunblock out there for delicate skins.

Doc Martins of Maui "Next Gen" Sunblock SPF 36

Ok, I'll admit to a bit of bias since I am from the same place where Doc Martin's is made, but after many years of living under the Hawaiian sun and spending several hours each day working outside and/or playing in the ocean, I absolutely swear by this stuff.I put about a dime-size squeeze on my face and ears before a long surf or paddle session and it does the job for hours without wearing off.The "6-hour protection" claim is definitely legit.Plus, it doesn't give you a "whiteface" that is hard to wash off like some of the other, more well-known, more expansive brands like Vertra.Doc Martin's seems to wash off fine at the end of the day, and doesn't leave me with clogged pores like some of the cheaper face protectants.

Also, it is a great value if used on just on the face and ears a tube will last me a couple or three months w/ daily usage.If you use for the entire body you might run through a tube pretty quick, but hey it's a small price to pay to protect your skin from the ravages of the sun!

Doc Martin's is a fantastic product, I swear by it and so do several of my friends.

This is the best sun screen in the market. If you are a waterman or spend lots of time in the sun this the best product made.

Made by a dermatology Dr who is also a waterman. Does not burn you eyes. Since I have used this product my derm appointments fir skin treatments have reduced enormously.

I like Stila products and I was excited to try the illuminating tinted moisturizer.I liked that it had a Spf 15 and that it would provide minimal coverage.Although I loved the way my skin felt when I wore it, it made my skin look very greasy.It only got worse as the day went on, even after I applied powder on top in hopes of toning it down.I'm glad that I was able to find out that it wasn't for me by using a deluxe sample than by buying a whole tube.Maybe people with dry skin have better results.

I wanted something to even out my skin tone but I wasn't ready for foundation.This stuff is amazing.I like the way it looks on, it's light and comfortable, and it contains spf 15.If you're looking for light coverage, this is perfect!

I usually bounce around a lot on my cosmetics but since I have been introduced to Stila products, I have stayed true. I use this tint mostly during the day and when I want very minimal, light coverage. It goes on light and sheer and leaves my skin with a beautiful radiance. I love Stila Tinted Moisturizer in the summer in place of foundation, so was excited to try this. I bought it in hopes of using it under Bare Minerals make up for a bit of shimmer, plus a little more coverage.The tint does seem more subtle than their regular tinted moisturizer, but nice, just the same.While I intended to use it for evening, I've started using it during the day, too, although I've mixed it with a bit of regular (non-tinted moisturizer).It tones down the shimmer a bit--but still gives you some of the light reflective qualities to make you glow.

This is a must have during the summer. Provides instant relief from sunburns with the soothing aloe and lidocaine. This product worked better than calamine lotion on my poison oak rash!

I had tried this brand before when I had been sunburned during a vacation.I don't think I could have slept without something that would really reduce the pain and that didn't wear off too fast.This gel had a very cooling effect and took the sting out.I kept a rather thick coat of it applied, and the relief lasted as long as there was a coating of gel on my skin.I had never found a cream, gel, or spray that worked so well.I now keep a bottle on hand all the time in case of burns.But it will also work for itching or soreness (from chafing) on the skin surface.I think it would be good to use on kids because it brings relief so quickly when applied or re-applied.The relief lasted a couple of hours before needing to reapply.Small burns on hands can be treated by keeping a layer of gel on the burn site with a band-aid.For a larger area, such as a sunburn on the back, wearing a light t-shirt over thearea keeps the gel from rubbing off, for instance, on bed sheets or furniture and holds the gel against the site.I found that the thicker the application, the less pain.
