First, I must say that I am reviewing product purchased from a Mary Kay consultant, not from a third-party seller. Second, as someone who has been accosted by overzealous Mary Kay reps over the years, I have steadfastly eschewed the company. Third, I can't believe how much I love with the Mary Kay Timewise line. I am a convert.

Here's what happened. I actually accosted a Mary Kay salesperson on the street. She had a stunning hair-color combo, and I wanted to know more. In turn, she gave me her card, and I felt obligated to return the favor. I told her upfront that I was an extremely satisfied Bare Escentuals customer, and she would have to do a lot to impress me.

I agreed to a make-over, although I went into the experience thinking, yes, I'll do the facial and smile politely, but I'm just interested in checking out the mineral powder line. But after trying the cleanser, moisturizer, eye cream and primer, I couldn't believe the difference in my skin texture.

At the age of 51, I have used nothing but water to cleanse my skin for years as most cleansers have a harsh, drying effect. Not only am I now cleansing daily with MK but am also exfoliating every third day. The difference is remarkable. My skin feels as dewy and soft now as it was in my 30s. As long as I continue to get dramatic results like these, I will remain a devoted Mary Kay customer. (I may or may not continue to use my own concoctions -pure Vitamin E, oatmeal masks, 100 percent cocoa butter. Right now, the Timewise collection is doing a fine job.)

This works fine, the tan looks natural enough.But if you have any dry skin on your face, you'll need a very good exfoliator.I have combination skin.Oily forehead and chin but dry skin on my nose and the stain gets into that dry skin and makes it look ridiculous.I only use it in summer, because in winter my skin is much more dry.All in all, it doesn't do much of anything for moisturizing your face, unless you're talking about making it more greasy than before.

I was scared to try self tanner that gives you tan from one day to another. I bought this one ignoring average reviews that says it is super gradual. I see beautiful result after first application and the color is perfect! Natural, healthy and not shocking. I believe that everybody should get it who wants natural beauty and not extreme look. FingerPaints Top Coat

I swear by this top coat. I have gone through maybe 2 bottles already. I am a cosmetology school student, and a designer nail polish addict. I sort of turned up my nose a bit when a friends recommended this top coat. I was humbled by this bad boy! It dries fast. Most top coats are either too thin, or too thick, and this one is just the right consistency. Trust me when I say that just because it is not OPI or Chanel, does not mean it wont get the job done. On top of all that, it also is pretty resistant to chipping. I am into film photography, and am constantly dipping my hands into all sorts of odd chemicals. IT HOLDS UP. I am sure there is some witchcraft or voodoo involved in the making of this stuff, but I cant be bothered by that. My nails look fabulous. I really love this product :)

In terms of smell, this is probably my favorite lotions. It even smells great AFTER you've tanned. I can't tell you how many times someone stopped me after tanning and asked what kind of perfume I was wearing. Bronzing looked natural on my very fair skin, not 'orangey'. Wish it had more 'extras' like some of the 'top shelf' tanning lotions, but overall this one is very nice.

Made out of carcinogenic and toxic compounds, phenoxyethanol is an ingredient that I would suggest avoiding. Oftentimes it's found in "natural" products. They'll use phenoxyethanol as the preservative and then tout that they're "paraben-free." In addition it's commonly used as a fragrance ingredient. Many of the natural companies still use synthetic fragrance. They'll tout that they're "phthalate-free" but still contain phenoxyethanol. So, just because something's "phlalate-free" or "paraben-free" doesn't mean it's safe. Any time you see "fragrance" listed, phenoxyethanol could be present, along with any number of harmful synthetic chemicals. Phenoxyethanol is structurally similar to parabens on a chemical level, so its toxicity to the reproductive system is not surprising.

Also note: some companies may claim that their phenoxyethanol is extracted from natural sources.So, while this is better because it lessens the risk for ethylene oxide contamination, it is still the same chemical structurally, and would pose the same risks. I too had high hopes for this, I have used Neem in many products that I have made and this does not smell at all like a Neem product.Neem has a very earthy dirt kinda smell.This however has a very STRONG perfume smell and NOT AN ESSENTIAL OIL smell. I work for a tanning salon and even with a 50% discount this lotion is still way too expensive in the salon. However, it works! My skin tone is very fair so it's hard for me to find lotion that either works, or doesn't turn me seven shades of streaky orange. After using this lotion twice i'm already noticeably darker than i've ever been before. My only issue with the lotion is the smell. It's supposed to not smell after you tan, however I think it just plain stinks before and after.

I am just finishing my first bottle of Gilded.It is the fifth tanning lotion I've used.I am using Gilded as a step 3.I was fair skinned (blonde, blue eyes, freckles, pale skin) when I started tanning so it took months to build a solid base tan.Once I was maintaining a good tan I wanted to deepen it and have it still look very natural.I was using Luminary which I really liked (gave nice color, smelled great, little to no ATO and a great subtle shimmer) prior to Gilded.Gilded gave me the deeper, richer color I was looking for and it was a noticeable difference after the first use.I really like the smell of the lotion before tanning.I do find the ATO a bit stronger than Luminiary and Gilded's ATO(after tan odor) is the only down side to the lotion.Both Luminary and Gilded give my skin a satin smooth touch that I love and other people comment on how silky smooth my skin feels and how great my tan is.

I kiteboard for hours at a time. I have been using the 70 Neutrogena for a year now and it works. I waste no time getting on the water since spraying is much faster than spreading a sunscreen. Highly recommended!

First off, a few notes on usage.We use this on arms, legs, fronts and backs.It's ease of application assures we don't miss spots that rub on creams often do.We still like to actually rub it on to the skin though as it's easy for it to accumulate on the surface or on body hair, and rubbing it in after spraying assures an even application.Also, don't use this on the face or in poorly ventilated areas,you probably don't want to inhale all the organic compounds in this or any other sunscreen.Finally, this sunscreen has oxybenzone in it which can cause skin sensitivity in some folks.(There are other concerns about this class of organics for sunscreen use, but they are generally significantly safer that sunburns and skin cancers.)So in the end, this product doesn't preclude cream based sunscreens, especially for the face, but application is a lot more complete and easier for the trunk and limbs.

Results with this sunscreen have been great for us.When applied evenly (and reapplied every two to three hours when in the sun) we have not gotten burned once.It has no unpleasant odors and isn't greasy once it has dried, which takes about two minutes in our dry climate.We buy it in bulk from amazon and save a lot over the drugstore prices. We always keep a can on hand for outside activities.

I ended up purchasing this for my niece out of fear that regular sunblock would clog her pores and I'm rather pleased with this. (I got this on the last day of her visit with us even though the previous sunblock showed no signs of messing with her skin.) This didn't have much of a scent that I could detect, which will probably be a selling point for some. I like a little scent with my sunscreen, but whatever scent this had ended up fading away rather quickly. The spray bottle makes it easy to apply, which was nice. I fell in love with spray bottles after using another sunblock product, so that this came in spray bottle form was a big factor for me.

As far as sunblock goes, it did its job for the most part. I was out in direct sun in very hot and humid weather, so I ended up applying it more than I might have otherwise done. I ended up with no sunburn, nor did any of my other family members. All of us applied this to our faces, with none of us having any new acne appear. (So if you're wondering if you could use this on your face in a pinch, you can.)

Please do not use this sunblock if your skin is even remotely sensitive.I purchased this because Neutrogena products typically work well on my somewhat sensitive skin.I put this on and within one hour had a horrible rash all over my face, neck, and chest. Caribbean Solutions SPF 25 Biodegradable Sunscreen 6 Ounces

Definately takes a little more "rubbing" to apply without showing compared to traditional sunscreens, but worth the environmental benefits. Did not feel oily/greasy, pleasant/subtle scent, and protected the whole family from sunburn. Of course with any sunscreen, reapplying often was necessary while sunning near the equator.

I was going snorkelling in reefs in the Carribbean and I wanted to make sure I didn't harm the delicate ecosystems. I had read reviews for many of the biodegradable sunscreens on the market and feared the types that wouldn't rub in fully or wouldn't work. While this one was harder to rub in than regular sunscreen, it still was possible after a little more effort (I think that's pretty much par for the course with a natural product). My pale pale white skin also did not suffer any sunburn so I'm happy with how it worked.

My husband and I both got burned the first days of our vacation because we figured it was like other sunscreen and effective for a few hours if not in the water. I know that's our fault for not reading the directions, but to put it on every 45 minutes when you are spending a day at the beach?

I understand the importance of protecting the environment, which is why we bought it... but I hope someone has a better biodegradable product out there because I don't see buying this one again.

I purchased this sunscreen to go snorkeling on the reef in Mexico and I must say, everyone there was very much concerened about what type of sunscreen people use! So I was ready with my biodegradable Caribbean Solution, and you know what? 2011 Supre Domination Black Bronzer Mens Tanning Lotion 12 oz.

This is designed for guys who don't want a strong smelling bronzer, but do want a quality product that doesn't streak. It works, I have been using it for a couple weeks now and I am now buying more here on Amazon after getting my first bottle at the tanning salon. I think it cost me $36 at the salon so getting it online is a better way to go. I would recommend to put it on before you go to tan, this allows your skin to absorb it, a little bit goes a long way and I have found that you stick to the bed if you use to much almost like a suction cup.

this is a amazing sunscreen, used it on the beach for days over 100 degrees, and in water for hours everyday, but i didnt get tan at all. its so water proof that i couldnt even remove it from taking shower with soap and water. need to have special remover to remove it. my only complain is the price, i only use it when i go to the beach and water.

This lotion makes my skin smoother, and I amlooking to buy this product again . You cant go wrong with Shiseido .

Amazing sunscreen. I use it everyday under my makeup and it is so light and smooth. I love that it doesn't have that white tint that makes you look like a geisha. It comes off very easily with my face wash, and doesn't make me break out at all. Much better than the blue bottle Shiseido sunblock they sell in the U.S.

I was introduced to Coola brand sunscreen while on a recent vacation on the island of Kauai in Hawai`i.The Princeville St. Regis staff was handing out samples of the stuff by the hotel pool.I actually took the sample because my sunscreen was running low.It didn't take but the first application to realize that this was nothing like my over-the-counter sunscreen.First of all, the sample I tried was the mango scented one.Unlike many other sunscreens that lay on the overly fake, tropical scents pretty thick, this sunscreens scent was very likeable, natural and muted.In fact, I mistook it for the tropical Hawaiian air until I realized it was the sunscreen.I also noticed the lack of grease from this sunscreen.Other sunscreens go on like a t-shirt; you feel like you are wearing a layer of clothing, not just a cream.This one blends into skin beautifully, leaving your skin feeling moisturized sans grease.The clicher for the swith over to Coola was that it's hypoallergenic.As a new mom, very careful about what I put on my 1 year old, I was carrying a bottle of sunscreen for her and then another one for mommy and daddy.Coola was the perfect all in one for the whole family.No wonder its the sunscreen endorsed by the American Lifeguard Association.Figure, they should know a thing or two about sunscreen right?After coming home from our trip, I went on Amazon to order another bottle of Coola (the one I bought out on the islands ran out by the end of our trip).So now I'm all set for our next vacation out in the sun!

Great protection without the chemicals. Love the fact that it's organic.Goes on nice and isn't greasy. My whole family loves the scent. Orginally found it at a spa but pricing is the same on Amazon and Amazon is more convenient.

I decided to try Coola Sport SPF 45, despite the price, because the drugstore brands didn't cut it.They left a thick film that was hard to get off in the shower and the scent, especially if used on my face, was more than unpleasant.Coola Sport was fantastic!It rubs in like a body lotion and smells great.It has just a delicate scent, not overwhelming.I didn't burn and I was in Mexico for a week.Amazing.If I spent a long time in the pool I was sure to reapply-which was a pleasure due to the texture and scent.Don't worry, you won't be disappointed.
