I dont really think that this smells bad. I think once you start sweating in that tiny little bed..of course your going to have some sort of nasty smell. To me it just smells like any other tanning lotion. It works good. And its cheap!!

I just recieved this product. It was cheap and it smells wonderful! I have only used it in a tanning bed once so far but it worked just fine. It seems to be very moisturizing so I even put a little on afterwards. It is a little thicker than moist tanning bed lotions but it's not that big of a deal. The smell is so good that I want to wear it all the time, its like a sweet coconutty tan lotion smell, it reminds me of summer! I would recommend this product, I have used tons of other (expensive salon) lotions and for the price this one is Great! Happy tanning!!

This product smells really nice. I use the tanning beds at my gym and don't want a weird smell after I tan. I'm very fair skinned and have only used it once so far, but I did NOT burn (and trust me I do that VERY easily) and could notice a little difference. This item arrived just as pictured. Tanning salons sell lotions for MUCH more expensive, and this stuff works great. I tan easily, so I don't need bronzers or accelerators.... just a good lotion. This is great!

I like the CellCeuticals sun screen, I like that it has NO parabens, that critical for me, but it desn't dry to a matte finish, I have to cover it with at least a light mineral (or any type), of face powder, so my face isn't shiny and oily looking. I like it and will continue to use it for as long as I can afford it. It's ridiculously priced, there is NO way it takes that kind of profit to make this product. I reccomend it for those who have sensitive skin and require a NO paraben product, but the price..Yikes!Robbie

So most of SanRe's products don't work for me (unfortunately), but this one almost makes up for it.I wanted a moisturizer with SPF that I could apply on a daily basis; you know, get out of the shower and apply lotion that happens to be a sunscreen too.
PROS: BINGO! Vanilla Sensation with SPF 30 is the best daily body moisturizer with SPF I've found AND most importantly it's ORGANIC. It applies as easily as regular lotion, does NOT leave ANY white film, and smells heavenly / leaves a light vanilla scent. And since it's organic I feel comfortable rubbing it into my skin every day. There are a couple negative aspects but they're overshadowed by these positive ones (in my opinion).
CONS: Slightly sticky (just a little bit); comes in a jar (squirt or pump bottle would be ideal); a tad oily at first (absorbs after a little while). And yes, it's EXPENSIVE but re-read the pros and try finding anything comparable for a cheaper price (good luck).

I have used philosophy shelter for about three years. The previous shelter was only 15 spf but was much easier to use. The new version has higher spf and is much thicker and has a strange tan color. It reminds of bit o honey candy in terms of color and fragrance. Not to swift. The strange tan color is actually from the un-tinted one. I have blonde hair/ eyebrows so it stains my eyebrows which bothers me. I have to try and rub off the weird yellow residue on eyebrows after applying to my face. I would have preferred that they simply make the untinted version white/ or no color. In terms of protection, it does a good job. It absorbs quickly. warning! this product WILL stain your clothes with the icky tan color so be careful to wash your hands after applying.
I will wear no other sunscreen on my face, only need a a half of a pea size amount,this stuff is Awesome. Your face feels like silk after applying. Put over your moisturizer then your foundation over the shelter, your foundation will go on so smooth.

I really like this sunscreen. It is a little pasty once you put it on but it goes on smooth. I have a mix of oily and normal/dry skin on my face, so I do use oil blotters throughout the day when I have this sunscreen on.There is absolutely no smell which is nice.

After losing half my nose (on one side) due to basal/squamous cell carcinoma (wear your sunscreen!), I had facial reconstruction. Although a miracle restoration, I had a major skin coloration difference that was quite visible. The Cover Blend really made this unnoticeable. My only wish is that there was a 'color palette' available to purchase (with a small quantity of perhaps 3-4 shades) so that the proper match could be determined before ordering the full amount. There's a 'lifetime supply' of the one you order, so be prepared to accept the shade you've selected. This product is easy to apply and offers full coverage of surgical scarring and discoloration. I'd recommend it unreservedly. BTW, I don't know why my reviews appear under my husband's name, but I am female and very conscious of how I look.

I took this to Antarctica (sunburn is a risk there, holes in the Ozone and what have you) and throughout South America. I was outside a lot and was careful to put lots on twice a day, morning and afternoon. The lotion did the job, I never burned once. The "family size" is good value for money. A family-sized bottle lasted me three weeks; your mileage will obviously vary based on size of family.No fifth star because the formulation is a little greasy. A little residue dripped into my eye once while hiking (I was perspiring) and the irritation/pain was intense. Children should be closely supervised during application, and the rest of us need to be extra careful with how we apply to our foreheads.

Some sunblocks burn when they eventually end up in your eyes when you sweat.Well this does not burn at all, you can paste it on your eyelids and it still wont burn. This has a great pump and stayed on in salt water. I missed a spot on my leg and got badly burnt once but the rest of my body was fine. It shows how it really does protect in a dramatic way!I found it smelled finenot bad but not good.I did not have any allergic reactions and it absorbed well. In fact, other people who had their own sunscreen kept borrowing mine instead of using their own. Thank goodness, I had a big bottle!It was enough for a 7-10 day trip to a tropical island for one person (with friends using occasionally).

I used Banana Boat baby a few weeks ago and broke out in a horrible rash on my arms, chest, and face. Found out I am allergic to chemical sunscreens. On my search, I went to the EWG website and found this sunscreen as one of the highest rated natural sunscreens. No titanium dioxide, just zinc oxide and lots of skin softening ingredients. It is not waterproof so even after a little time in the water, needs to be reapplied, like any sunscreen. I did not burn or have any kind of rash, and the other ingredients were so soothing. I have light skin that tans but will burn easily without protection. I LOVE it! Wish it were a little less expensive, but I'll pay the price to not get another unsightly rash! I like that it includes organic certified natural plant extracts, but that doesn't make it "natural"; could I put green tea in cool whip and call it "natural"? Nope. So why call something loaded with synthetic compounds "natural"? Among the many, octocrylene produces free radicals and homosalate is a hormone disrupter which forms toxic metabolites. Yes, it DOES have some nasty chemicals, but to its credit certainly not as many as other drugstore brands.
The sunscreen itself acts as a better moisturizer than others I've tried. But, in every other regard, it's like everything else on the market--greasy, feels a little chalky, goes on streaky white,has 'nasty synthetic chemicals', etc. If you have oily skin, you might want to use something else on your face. For the price, I like it--but it's certainly not the "natural" sunscreen I was looking for.

I have acne prone skin. Since I have used mineral makeup and now mineral sunblock I no longer breakout only on occasion. I finally realized that I have very sensitive skin and break out with cosmetics and creams with lots of chemicals. Since this is made with minerals its much better for my skin apparently. SPF 20 is just enough because I have not sunburned my skin nor have sun damage. I have been using this everyday for about a year. Very happy with this product. The only thing is that it is very emolient as it states on the bottle, leaves my skin a bit greasy after a little while, this is the only reason why it did not get 5 stars because I have oily skin as it is but I guess you can't have it all.

Keep this stuff away from your eyes because it HURTS! A little odd considering it's a facial sunscreen. I'm only using it because my facialist recommended it. You only need a pea-sized drop for your whole face. It comes on VERY white and you need to spend quite a bit of time rubbing it in, but once you do, there's no trace of white on your skin. It's very thick, also. Be sure to keep it away from your eyes because at some point during the day, you're bound to get it in your eyes somehow, someway and it STINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be careful and maybe try another product first!

I've had rosacea all my life. I guess I'm lucky, I don't get the bumps and lumps and scaliness, I just look like I have a permanent sunburn.I have to wear very heavy, greasy makeup to cover my red skin.
I read about this stuff, and I tried it for the first time today.
I think it did a decent job of neutralizing the redness.
This cream is greengreen and red are complementary colorswhich means they cancel each other out. So putting the green over the red skin helps even out the skin tone.
The trick is to use it *sparingly*!
I've read reviews of people saying it turned their face greenwell duhit will if you slather it on.
Rub it in well, one area at a time and don't try to do your whole face at once.
It is very creamy and easy to blend. I did not find it heavy or greasy. It is in fact a heck of a lot more comfortable to wear than the pancake makeup I usually have to use which feels like I'm smearing lard on my skin.
This stuff and a little powder did an excellent job.
If I don't get any adverse reactions I will definitely buy this again.

I have a pretty severe paranoia about having red skin, to the point that any redness at all bothers me excessively. This product even at first use neutralized any uneveness my skin had. I am very eager to see how it works out in the long run. Though, admittedly I will keep using this product even if it does nothing to my skin underneath, it is amazing for under makeup or just by itself to cut redness.Buy it! You will love it!

I bought this product 6 months ago along with the night creame.After 3 months of using both daily, it did not treat the redness at all.I discontinued using the night creame, but continue to use the lotion as it does a good job making my skin look significantly less red by masking it.It has helped me to feel less self-concious in public and I try not to leave the house without it on.This 1.7 oz bottle has lasted me 6 months and still has a few months of use left in it.Overall, a good product, but not a good alternative to a dermatologist.

It is Green as the bad reviews say lol...no kidding the label says that!I mix it with my normal face cream so it is not so noticeable, but it really does help and I think does a good job of hiding a bit of redness all day. It also feels good.
Just be prepared to play with it a bit and after it absorbs into the skin it looks much better.And if to pale just use on red areas!

Last year we used Alba Botanica Mineral Sunblock which was great but it had a weird smell to it which I wasn't too fond of.
Anyway The Kids Natural applies super easy if you work it fast! Don't take your time because the slower you work the harder it is to apply and smooth out which results in white blotches.
It smells pleasant and the kids don't seem to mind. If you do decide to jump into the pool you will find out that you start looking like a corpse that has been floating in the river for two days but the sunscreen eventually comes off and you go back to normal. After all it clearly reads that you need to reapply after swimming so that's fine with me.
However I can see that this might be a con for some people but lets just be honest... It works like a charm, it smells good and it is a low hazard product for a great price. To me that's all that matters. WE LOVE IT

This is the best sunscreen for kids i've tried, and i've tried many. Unlike some other natural products,it is easy to apply and smear over skin. I did tons of research on safe sunscreens, and got this one and the TruKids brand as well. This is more the one my husband and I use, because it's cheaper than TruKids and easier to spread on. It has a nice light scent, rubs in easily, and doesn't take half the bottle for one beach day. I did miss having higher SPF protection (even though I know supposedly anything above 30 or 45 isn't proven), and felt I had to reapply more often on my arms to prevent burning. got this sunscreen from one of the amazon shops, never thought that there could be a non greasy sunscreen. All i do is wash my face , apply this and am ready to go out, no more white cast/mask on the face. :-) Awesome product.
