I have been using this lotion for two weeks, and have previously used full-blown self-tanners (Estee Lauder) but not lotion with a "hint" of self-tanner. This has definitely been easier to use than a self-tanner, as you only have to wait a few minutes for it to dry rather than wait a loooong time and then shower with self-tanners. Also, streaking is not much of an issue. I have, however, noticed some around my feet area. There is no orange tint and it does look very natural.

One issue I am having with this, is that although it does not have nearly the strong scent that self-tanners do, after using it for a couple weeks I am starting to notice that my skin does smell slightly of that self-tanner smell. The scent is not too noticeable, just close up. For the first week or so, there was no scent whatsoever.

For the price, this is definitely a good deal. No, this isn't the strength of a self-tanner, but does give that "warm glow" it promises for a much more affordable price and much easier application. My only complaints are minor streaking around the feet area, and the hint of self-tanner scent.

I love and have tried all of the Yes To products.This one is a miss for me.It smells nice and I love the fact that is has the SPF, but the texture is PASTY and it goes on very white, which is not a good look on the face unless you want that zinc oxide look. I've never really had an acne problem, but I have a terrible blackhead problem across my nose. My pores are rather large so it makes the blackheads easy to see.

I bought this because I thought the little scrubber was neat. I'm terrible to give in to gimmicks and figured that this would be another one I'd be disappointed with.

I love the scent, and the scrubber is very gentle so it doesn't irritate my super sensitive skin. After using this for about two weeks I've noticed a huge difference in my blackheads.

My face looks much clearer and I no longer feel the blackhead 'bumps' when I touch my nose or the skin around it. I'm very happy with this cleanser.

When I first got this facial cleanser, my first through was that the rubber scrubber, while a nice addition, felt like it would fall apart quickly.To my surprise it didn'tit has been going like a champ.The scrubber is great and really helps you get your face nice and clean.The cleanser smells nice with a hint of apricot, but it isn't overpowering.It is nice and ex foliating without being too harsh on your skin.This is great for an everyday cleaner if you don't have any skin conditions, but from my experience, it really doesn't do much to clear troubled skin.Overall, I do like this, but for my skin, I need something to help clear up my skin too.This cleaner does do everything that L'Oreal says it willclean, reduce appearance of pores, and won't over dryfor that, I have to give it 5 stars!

I wanted to like this. It seemed like a miracle-worker based on all the reviews, but alas...the search for clear skin continues.

Background: I have combination skin not many zits, but tons of small blackheads in various places and very dry skin all over. I've been to the dermatologist and have tried prescriptions, all-natural/organic stuff, and everything in between. The reason I wanted to try this is because a benzoyl peroxide product was breaking me out. Oh, and I'm 19.

Good: I love that this is so inexpensive. Its inexpensive anyway, but when you use it you don't even need that much to cover your entire face. The smell is great too just like apricots (unlike St.Ives)! The scrubs are perfect consistency not too rough or big, but not whimpy or too many either. The face-scrubber thing is not as harsh as you would imagine. It is a very soft rubber. Suds up very nicely. Gentle and like I said a little can go a long way. Cool bottle design.

Bad: Completely ineffective on blackheads. In fact, it may have broken me out a bit (I got two zits, but that may have been my face acclimating itself to the product). It is drying. It made my face flaky! The dry scales don't show up until the next day, but they are there! I imagine it would be really bad if I stopped using my face cream (its the best I've tried super moisturizing without exacerbating my skin issues).

Verdict: All in all, I have to give it a thumbs down, but if you have REALLY oily skin I'd give it a shot. Its only $5!

I have used this product and it works. I don't know about you, but I believe in researching products prior to making purchases. I read lots of reviews and learned not all reviews are equal. Sometimes you have to read between the lines. I don't know about you but I like reviews to be thorough which is why I am added so much information on mine. I hate reviews which state a product did not work and they include information that lets you know they did NOT follow directions or consistently use the product.

In the case of this product you don't use this all over your face if your issue is a particular area. You are suppose to use a sunscreen of at least spf 15 AND avoid sun if you can when using this product. You are suppose to use it EVERYDAY! If you don't you may not get your desired results. If you are extremely dark, you will have limited and possibly no results. Obviously you must be consistent and patient if you want results. You are suppose to continue occassional use once results are achieved. Get my point? READ THE DARN JAR, lol. So please be wary of reviews and read between the lines to see if it is a valuable review to base your purchase on. I am not saying anyone who says a product didn't work for them is wrong. I am just saying make sure they are telling you the whole story to ensure you are getting enough information to make an educated decision.

I am a dark skinned African American woman. I would compare my complexion to actress Gabrielle Union. I have used this product for my uneven skin tone. The bottom of my face on the side of my mouth tends to be darker than the other 80 percent of my face. I have used this product in the past with results and then I stop. Of course when I do, the uneven tone eventually makes it way back. I am back to using it. It's been only about 2 weeks and I see a little improvement already. This time I am using it in conjuction with african black soap (also sold on amazon) and my MK moisturizer w/ spf. This combo seems to make my skin incredible soft and with a glow as well.

I plan to continue with this product along with the black soap so my skin evens out so I can just use a tinted moisturizer (with spf 15!) this summer. With the results I have seen so far, I am confident I will achieve this goal.

This fade cream works great for me. As with any product that contains hydroquinone, you have to be patient, and i have used several products from over the counter to dermatologist's prescription. I trust this brand, because i have used other Palmer's products, like the cocoa butter, as well as, the acne eventone rescue kit. You should see some results in about a month, but for more noticeable results, it will take 6-8 weeks. Remember to keep sun exposure, especially without sunscreen to a minimum, or you defeat the results. Use spf 15 or higher. It does say that it has sunscreen in it, but it does not say how much, so i would go ahead and use a seperate sunscreen. I use spf 30. If your skin is dark, it does say that results may not be noticeable. Not sure how dark this means though. My skin is a tan/caramel color, and it works wonderfully. Remember, patience patience patience!!

I've already have this product and ordered it in January. I decided to come online and write about how well its working and I plan to order more soon! If I could, I would give this product 10 Stars! I had a severe burn on my neck and chest from a curling iron incident don't ask...The scars seen by the burn made me a bit nervous because I am preparing for my wedding and knew that scars on my neck and chest would not be very attractive. Long story short, I used Neosporin to heal the burn for exactly 5 days. As the burn was healing, the scars were very apparent. I purchased the Palmer's Fade Cream from the drugstore and begin using on the 6th day of my burning incident. I begin to notice a change within 3 days. Within a week, my burn scars were almost completely gone...really barely anything visible.. Warning You must use this product as directed. I used it more often than directed and a rash came about my fault.

I am an african american woman and I did use this product on a fresh scar so I am not sure how effective it will be on an old scar or age spots. I am very careful of using different products on my skin as it is extremely sensitive and temperamental so for me to be able to have this product be so successful was both surprising and exciting. I am now using it on an older scar and it seems to be working but I will keep you posted.

Now, my evaluation of the Neutrogena ultra gentle soothing lotion: It is just okay.Texture is wonderfully smooth and creamy.SPF at 15 is useful.But I find the scent to be overwhelming (other reviewers found it mild).I am sensitive to the sunscreen ingredients avobenzone, octinoxate, octisalate, which sting when they get in or near my eyes.I will do as other reviewers suggest and use this lovely, smooth lotion on my arms and hands.

Based on previous experience with the Olay products I have used for years (which carry most of the same claims) I made the bad leap in logic of assuming that a product with these claims would also be fragrance free.Wrong!On the side of the box (something you don't get to see when ordering online) is the following statement:

"Contains a gentle hypoallergenic fragrance uniquely developed for sensitive skin."

GENTLE???I had to immediately go wash my hands after testing the first application on the back of my hand because the fragrance was so overwhelming.To write this review, I used it on my hand again, but left it on a while to see if the fragrance dissipated or ceased to bother me.Nope...still bothered me.

I have yet to be able to actually use it on my face or neck, where it is intended to be used.This is disappointing to me, not only because the lotion is now unusable to me but because I am not able to write as thorough a review as I would like.For the record, while the fragrance seemed perfumy on first application, on closer inspection it smells more like it may containe eucalyptus oil.If you are the type who can't handle going into dried flower or candle shops, you will probably be bothered by this fragrance.

What I can tell you (aside from the product's claims and the fragrance) is that the bottle is 4.0 fluid ounces and comes with a pump.The lotion has a lovely consistency, very smooth and creamy between my fingers.If you don't have fragrance sensitivity problems, I think it is probably quite a nice product.I will give mine away to a friend since I am unable to use it.

Illuminare All Day Eye Color Kit SPF 15 5 piece

If you like Illuminare cosmetics and you use their eye colors, this is the best, dollar for dollar, bargain that exists. The kits come in different colors and that makes it easier to find a combination that works for you. If you use their stuff, you're probably already familiar with their products.

If you don't and you're curious, the Illuminare website offers sample sizes in pretty much everything. I highly recommend it. Once you fall in love with their makeup, you'll appreciate a bargain like this where you get three colors for the cost of about two.

I use these for eye shadow, brow color, and liner. The products are easy to work with and long-lasting. I seldom have to re-apply throughout the day unless I'm touching up for a night out after work. And they're so concentrated, you only need to use the tiniest dot of each! In fact, it's hard to squeeze out a small enough amount so that you don't have to wipe some away. I've beeing using Illuminare for several years and I can say that it's much more frequent that the product goes beyond a reasonable shelf date (or I keep it so far beyond a reasonable date that it gets a bit dry) than that I use it up too quickly. That's why I don't mind paying more for it (and this applies to their foundation and cheek colors as well).

If you aren't familiar with this brand and you're looking for a mineral makeup that's easier to work with than all the powders, I highly recommend giving them a try.

Banana Boat Quik Dri Sport Body & Scalp Spray Sunscreen SPF 30: 6 OZ

Being a hairy guy, it's a lot of effort to spread a cream over my legs and arms (and it's futile to attempt my chest). However, this spray comes out as a fine mist that gets past my hairs to the skin. So, a spray and quick rub is all it takes. I still use a cream on my face because the alcohol base can sting (particularly after shaving).

Effectiveness: I'm a pale white northerner living in Miami. This stuff works.

Value: I find that a bottle last much longer than the aerosol sprays.

On-Skin Feeling: significantly less sticky/greasy than creams

Downside: when the bottle starts to get empty, it has to be upright to spray (which makes doing your own legs more challenging).

Living in Miami I have to sunblock year round and have tried lots of different sunscreen products. This has been my fave for the last four years.

It's a good solution for preventing sunburn on the scalp without wearing a hat.I use a lot of sunscreen and this isn't the best one I've ever used, but it's somewhat effective and doesn't leave my hair super greasy like regular sunscreen.

I love this product.I don't use it on the face, because it does not seem strong enough for my nose (very fair skinned).But for the rest of the body, it applies very quickly and works very well, especially if you have hairy arms, chest, etc.Seems to last much, much longer than the aerosol cans.Unfortunately, it's getting harder and harder to find in the stores.I'm glad Amazon still has it.Get it while you can.

However, I find this product helps me greatly in that I haven't gotten burnt yet and I still manage to get some tan as opposed to none when I use sunblock. I bought the Platinum Diva Matahari Step 2 lotion from my local tanning salon at the full price ($46.00).The fragrance alone is reason enough to by this product.Nearly every other tanning lotion out there and even though you may enjoy the fragrance, when you leave the tanning salon you still get that sort of stale burnt smell and know you need to head to the shower as soon as possible.

This tanning lotion is a step above other lotions in that it still smells the same after tanning as it did when you first put it on.I have had no problem going out right after tanning.I don't feel self-conscious that others can 'smell' that I just went tanning.This alone earns the 5 stars for me.

Other than that this lotion has promoted a more natural looking tan albeit a nice dark one! than when I have used other accelerators.I've tried many different brands and am happy to say I think I've ended my search with this one.

Then, there is the price!Why do tanning salons feel the need to gouge their customers? holy cow.We pay a premium price as it is just for the tanning time but to turn around and charge over $45 for 8 oz of lotion?I am glad I thought to look here on Amazon and found it for sale at a more reasonable price.

Pauly D Bronze Beats

I've tried a lot of different lotions over the years and have not really stuck with any one lotion.Last year my favorite was Swedish Beauty's Take Olive Mebut that one was really thick and made you feel pretty sticky and was heavy on your skin, despite giving good color and having a nice scent.

Bronze Beats was a much smoother and lighter applicationthat already made it a better choice over the former. The scent is listed as Coconut Nightsand I really like it. It's not a heavy coconut smell, it's very light with that tropical coconut hint, with a somewhat deeper nutty/chocolate scentit's not overpowering and it would work for guys or girlsdefinitely a more neutral scent. Also, since this is a bronzing lotion it's a brown color and as soon as you put it on it gives your skin a nice little glowit's a natural looking bronzer, not orange at all. I start out very pale but can get fairly dark, but have a problem with some lotions making me look orange.This one gave me a good bronze color. You will definitely need to leave it on to get the full effects of the bronzersI tan in the evening and leave it on overnight. I was also surprised that even wearing white pajama pantsnone of it rubbed off during the nightreally seemed to stay on the skin.I think it's because it's not too heavy and absorbs into the skin quickly. I also didn't notice that much ATO. I've never found a lotion that completely covers up ATO, but this one does really well with the fragrance holding up.

Overall, I am happy with this lotion.I would definitely recommend it for a nice bronzing lotion for those looking to build a nice base tan.

This lotion made me dark in just a few sessions. I was as white as casper now i look like just like a guido should!

This is my favorite RoC product and my very favorite night cream. Nothing else is in the running and I think I may have tried most of them. LOL.If you are considering all of the RoC products and getting confused about which one to try first, I would recommend this Night Treatment. The others are good too, but this is my all-time favorite. I bought this product originally after I did an extensive search for products with specific ingredients. I had searched some PubMed sites and knew that it was important for me to find a product with retinoids, hydraluroic acid, peptides, and vitamin C. RoC came closer than everyone else, so I tried it. I wasn't disappointed. The results have been as advertised in my case.

If I go into a department store, I'll come out with more than $200 worth of skin products, many of them turning out to be pretty much useless even though they are top brands. I know that because they are still in my cosmetic drawer(s). RoC products cost less and give me the results I am looking for. The ingredients are effective. I recommend this product.
